Mark Allan Kaplan: Recipient of 2008 Integral Life Award!

Congratulations to Mark Allan Kaplan, recipient of this year's Integral Life Award!  The IL Award is an annual merit-based scholarship of $10,000 for an Integral Studies MA student at either John F. Kennedy University or Fielding Graduate University.  Mark received the award for most effectively demonstrating the potential and capacity to make a difference in the world through the application of integral principles in both his personal, professional, and academic endeavors.


As a student in Fielding Graduate University’s Integral Studies Certificate Program, Mark's quest for meaning and personal expression has taken him through the domains of art,  photography, architectural design, cinematic media, spirituality, consciousness studies, psychology, poetics, and deep self-inquiry. He has earned advanced degrees and certifications in the fields of cinematic media, transpersonal psychology, and creative expression; conducted and published research on the transpersonal dimensions of the cinema and the experience of divine guidance across religious traditions and cultures; and professionally worked in the entertainment industry as a motion picture producer, writer, director, editor, researcher, and consultant.  To learn more about Mark and his work, check out his personal website: www.markallankaplan.com.
